National Trails Day
West Coast Wheelers were involved in a very successful National Trails Day on Sunday at Derroura Mountain Bike Trail outside Oughterard. Riders from the club led more than 50 beginners and novice riders out on the trails giving them advice on technique, safety, and how to get the most out of their mountain biking experience. The sun and smiles were out, and Derroura Bike Hire had tea and scones available for everyone after their ride. For those without their own bike, Derroura Bike Hire and Mountain Trail Bike Shop were providing test bikes on the day. For photos from the day see the gallery.
